The AJC has reviewed Horizon Theatre’s production of Julie Hébert’s Tree.
Bert Osborne praises Donna Biscoe’s performance in the play, saying she “delivers a strong performance in the demanding role of Jessalyn Price, an aged black matriarch suffering from dementia.” His opinion of the play itself differs. “As is often the case in Hebert’s overwrought drama, we can’t really see the forest for all the trees,” he writes.
