Critic Wendell Brock has reviewed Georgia Shakespeare’s production of Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie for the AJC after attending a preview performance of the play.
Grading the play an A, Brock says, “With a pitch-perfect cast, a handsome design scheme that harks backs to Williams’ intent to project ‘magic-lantern’ slides onto a screen, it is the most essential drama produced in Atlanta this year.” The play stars Joe Knezevich, Mary Lynn Owen, Bethany Anne Lind and Travis Smith and Brock commends each member of the ensemble.
Wendell Brock’s full review can be found on the AJC website. For tickets and more information about The Glass Menagerie, please visit the Georgia Shakespeare’s website. The play, directed by Richard Garner, runs through October 30.
