Fabrefaction Theatre Company rings in the holidays with their holiday themed version of Richard O‟Brien‟s cult classic The Rocky Horror Show. Directed by Fabrefaction’s founding Artistic Director Christina Hoff and under the musical leadership of Nick Silvestri, The Rocky Horror Show opens on Friday, December 2nd and performs until Friday, December 23. A show preview will be held on Thursday, December 1st.
In a new holiday spin on the Tony Award nominated musical, Fabrefaction Theatre Company time warps the cult classic to the North Pole. It‟s Christmas time, and with it comes to mind images of freshly fallen snow, good will towards men, and peppermint patterned transvestites. Brad and Janet’s engagement starts off on a silent night when their car unexpectedly breaks down. Luckily, they find refuge in a winter wonderland under the rule of the Dr. Frank-N-Furter. After being subjected to the Doctor‟s ho-ho-horrible experiments, Brad, Janet, and the Doctor‟s other guests are saved by a violent servant uprising.
Fabrefaction’s holiday spectacular comes complete audience callbacks, holiday projectiles, rock ‘n roll and promises to be a festive experience like no other. “This will be my fourth production at Fabrefaction”, said Trey Getz, the Atlanta-based actor who plays Brad in The Rocky Horror Show. “FTC‟s take on this iconic show is so fun and fresh that audiences won‟t want to miss this. This show will truly live up to the billing as a holiday spectacular!”
