Actor’s Express to Produce the Broadway Hit Motherf**ker with the Hat


Actor’s Express has announced that the Tony Award® nominated Broadway play The Motherf**ker with the Hat will be joining their 2011-2012 season.

According to an email sent to subscribers and a Facebook posting, The Motherf**ker with the Hat will play from March 15 to April 14, 2012, and it will replace The Night of the Iguana, which was to be co-produced with Theater EmoryTennesee Williams fans should be happy to note that Theater Emory will still put on the production from April 5 to April 15, 2012.

The Motherf**ker with the Hat opened on Broadway April 11. 2011 to much critical success.  It starred Chris Rock in his Broadway debut, Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Annabella Sciorra and Yul Vazquez. During its run it received six Tony Award nominations, including best play and acting nominations for Cannavale, Rodriquez and Vazquez.

Written by Stephen Adly Guirgis, the play about love and fidelity promises a high-energy ride as Jackie returns to life after being in prison on drug charges. While Jackie is sober, his lover Veronica isn’t, but he only problem in their relationship is the hat that comes between them.
