Ballroom Dance and a Big Band this January with the Aurora Theatre Dance Night Series

Aurora Theatre has teamed up with 550 Trackside, a stunning events facility, and All About Ballroom, Gwinnett’s hottest partner dance company, to create Aurora Dance Nights. On Saturday, January 28 at 8 p.m., Dance Night welcomes Metro Jazz Club for an evening of ballroom and swing.

Guests will feel like the celebrities on Dancing with the Stars while dancing and enjoying the big band sounds of the Metro Jazz Club. Led by jazz sax man Gary Dalton, the Metro Jazz Club is a smokin’-hot 17 piece band accompanied by a sultry chanteuse, the magnificent Maxine Cummins. Dedicated to the preservation of some of the best music ever composed from the smoothest jazz to the spirited rhythms of swing, Metro Jazz Club is the house band for the concert series Swing Nights at the Aurora Theatre.

Every dance night feature lessons with expert Kathy Casper from All About Ballroom. Aurora Dance Nights are held at 550 Trackside, just off the Lawrenceville square, right across for the old Lawrenceville train depot. This gorgeous event facility contains granite walls, archways and original wood, all restored to their natural beauty. There will be a selection of beer, wine and other soft drinks. Parking is FREE.

Reality TV contests like Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance inspire folks to get off of the couch and hop onto the dance floor. Dancing is a great night out, packed with fun, romance and great exercise. Make your night special by attending Aurora Dance Nights.

Reserved tickets are $18 and $20 at the door. Tickets are available through the Aurora Theatre Box Office. Call  678-226-6222 or visit
