Eleven years after his sold-out run of The Gospel of John at Theatre in the Square, actor Brad Sherrill returns to the Alley Stage to bring new life to Jesus’ words as written in Matthew, Mark and Luke.

In April 2011, Brad Sherrill and production designer Mark Hickman traveled to Israel and Jordan over 12 days to gather material for Red Letter Jesus.  Two-thirds of the multimedia for the performance consists of original images and video footage, the majority of which Mark Hickman captured in Israel, the West Bank and Jordan during this time period.  Aerial photography includes a wide area of Israel from north of the Sea of Galilee, to as far south as the Dead Sea and Masada, to as far west as the Mediterranean Sea.  The visual imagery is designed not merely to draw us into the era and the geography surrounding Jesus’ ministry, but also to convey some of the atmosphere that the red letters alone cannot communicate.

Tickets range from $18 – $24 and are available at the Theatre in the Square Box Office by calling 770-422-8369 or online at Gift certificates and discount rates for groups of 12+, as well as for university/seminary faculty, staff and students are also available for purchase at the Box Office. This production is recommended for ages 12 and up.
