Fabrefaction Theatre Company is proud to present the final installment of their 2012 Young Artist Series: Miss Nelson is Missing! Following on the heels of their wildly successful run of Seussical: The Musical, FTC’s Young Artist Series brings the popular children’s book to life in a full scale production featuring actors ages 7-13.
Adapted from the quirky 1977 classic, Miss Nelson follows the schoolkids in Room 207 (“the worst behaved kids in the school”) as their genial teacher is suddenly replaced by the ruthless Miss Viola Swamp. Who is this peculiar substitute teacher? Where did Miss Nelson go? FTC’s production takes on playful hints of a film noir homage, as the kids try to unravel the mystery and, in the process, learn to appreciate the good-natured teacher they had in the first place.
The production is appropriate for ages 3 and up and runs approximately an hour long. Directed by FTC Artistic Associate Tatiana Godfrey
