Atlanta’s most exciting new theatre company Pinch ‘n’ Ouch Theatre will extend Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet’s comedy Speed-the-Plow for three additional performances, through May 5, 2012. Directed by the company’s Artistic Director Grant McGowen, Speed-the-Plow focuses on the ruthless nature of the Hollywood movie industry.
Speed-the-Plow’s rich and entertaining material brings out the actors potential for delivering powerhouse performances, and the cast including Jayson Warner Smith, Rob Mello, and Jackie Costello are outstanding in their roles.
Pinch ‘n’ Ouch proves the play is more timely than ever, and the production history spanning over twenty years starred such actors as Madonna, Kevin Spacey, Jeff Goldblum, Willam H. Macy, Jeremy Piven (“Enoturage”), and Elizabeth Moss (“Madmen”). The 2008 Broadway production was nominated for two Tony Awards, including Best Play and Best Actor.
Don’t miss a chance to see one of Atlanta’s boldest theatre companies present what critics are calling “lively and engrossing,” “a perfect cast,” and “raw in your face Hollywood suspense.”
Speed-the-Plow by David Mamet now extended through May 5, 2012 at Pinch ‘n’ Ouch Theatre, 1085 Ponce De Leon, Atlanta, GA, 30306. For tickets visit http://www.pnotheatre.org/ or call 1-800-838-3006.
