Lindsey Lamb Archer in Xanadu at Actor's Express

Lindsey Lamb Archer

In our latest Quick Chat, Lindsey Lamb Archer, who currently stars in Xanadu at Actor’s Express, discusses the musical. Read below to find out how much she enjoys performing in the musical, the challenge of performing in roller skates, and more.

Who is your character and what three words would you use to describe her?

Clio/Kira-quirky, fun, ethereal

What is the most enjoyable part of being in the musical for you?

All of it. I love this show! It’s honestly just the most fun.  I feel so blessed to being doing what I love in a show I love with an amazing cast and crew.

What is your favorite number to perform?

That’s hard, but I’m going to go with “Xanadu!”

What are the challenges of performing in roller skates?

You have to be very aware of your surroundings, the floor and your balance.  Following the traffic patterns in Xanadu when we are all on skates is really important too. I’m a pretty decent roller skater, so I really enjoy being on skates. If it was roller blades, I’d be a mess.

How much fun is it to work with the other cast members in this production?

It is like a HUGE party every night. They are seriously the best and most talented cast, and I’m so honored to get to “play” with them.

Do you wish roller discos would become popular again?

Heck yeah, I love a good party and on skates : ). As a cast we went to Sparkles in Smyrna several times and had a blast.

What do you like best about Atlanta theater?

There is a LOT of great theater all over this awesome city, and there is always something to see and support.  I also love how supportive theater’s are of each other. It’s a wonderful community to be a part of and I’m so happy to be back in the area.

How much fun will the audience have when they see the show?

A TON! Great ELO music, awesome dancing, a fun story and roller skates….how could you not have a blast?
