The Wilson Pickett Jr. Legacy, LLC (WPL) will present the musical, In the Midnight Hour: The Music of Wilson Pickett, at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center September 21 -23, 2012. Featuring film and television star and NAACP Image Award Winner Cassi Davis, this Broadway style musical is produced by Kenneth Green, directed by Seret Scott with musical direction by Keith Wilson.
In the Midnight Hour: The Music of Wilson Pickett, is a jukebox musical that celebrates the music legacy and life of the international Rhythm
and Blues, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame artist, The “Wicked” Wilson Pickett. Conceived by Kenneth Green, this production takes you on the journey of a musical icon that has helped shape the genres of soul music and Rhythm and Blues.

The Wilson Pickett Jr. Legacy, LLC strives to stimulate and encourage younger generations to experience the music of a true soul and Rhythm and Blues icon. It is the desire of WPL to inspire young people to achieve their greatest dreams through the Wilson Pickett/Brandon Miller Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship fund was established in 2010 to support deserving students who are in need of tuition and fee assistance. Scholarships have been awarded to students at Spelman and Morehouse Colleges. The 2012-2013 scholarships will be awarded to four high school juniors and seniors. One source for funding this scholarship program will be the production of In the Midnight Hour: The Music of Wilson Pickett. The inaugural debut of this production was enjoyed by over 1,500 spectators.
