World Menopause Day will take place on Thursday, October 18, 2012 and what better way to find comedic relief from menopause symptoms of hot flashes, mood swings, forgetfulness, night sweats and chocolate binges than by seeing the hilarious international hit show Menopause The Musical®.  The show will open in Charlotte on World Menopause Day and Menopause The Musical® invites all women (and the men who love them) to embrace menopause in Charlotte and these cities in October: Wilkes-Barre, Duluth, Johnstown, Toledo, Dayton, Evansville, Muncie, Durham, Muskegon, Columbia, Dearborn and Ann Arbor.

Menopause The Musical® is set in a department store, where four women with seemingly nothing in common but a black lace bra meet by chance at a lingerie sale.  A sisterhood is created between these diverse women as they realize that menopause is no longer “The Silent Passage.” It is a stage in every woman’s life that is perfectly normal.  The laughter-filled 90-minute production includes parodies from classic pop songs of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

It is estimated that nearly 11 million women have attended a performance since the 2001 opening in Orlando, Florida. Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, writer and producer Jeanie Linders created the show as a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived “The Change.”  Menopause The Musical® has entertained audiences across the country in more than 450 U.S. cities, nearly 300 international cities and a total of 15 countries. Menopause The Musical® is produced by GFour Productions and is the work of writer Jeanie Linders. For more information visit www.GFourProductions.com.
