The Devil Tree introduces you to Laurel County, a stretch of southern Georgia with roots deeper than most places. Found in the deep recesses of Laurel’s dark woods is one oak tree whose roots run deep enough to affect the whole county—and everyone in it. Locals recount and relive stories that have been passed down through the generations and new tales rear their heads: encounters with ghosts, unnatural possessions, and even a few run-ins with Ol’ Slick himself.
