New theater group, Blue Jeans Theater, will perform David Mamet’s Sexual Perversity in Chicago in Fabrefaction Theatre’s Black Box.
Sexual Perversity in Chicago is David Mamet’s brutal comedy about four singles in 1976 Chicago. It raises unflinching questions about misogyny, homophobia, and relationships. Mamet examines our sex saturated society and asks, “When lust is all you’ve ever known, can you recognize love?”
“We are starving artists who have given of our money and our time to put on this show simply because of the love of the art. We’ve spent our lunch money and rehearsed in living rooms so that we could put up a show we are proud of,” states Mandi Lee. “There are no frills, just five twenty somethings, David Mamet, and a lot of passion.”
It performs December 9 through12, 2012 at 8 p.m. in Fabrefaction Theater’s Black Box Space at 999 Brady Avenue NW in Atlanta. Viewer Discretion Advised!
