Actor’s Express is beyond excited to stage this provocative, funny, sexy, rock and roll musical! “Andrew Jackson is one of the most important figures in American history and to this day, we still don’t know quite how to talk about him…” says Artistic Director Freddie Ashley. “Was he a visionary leader who reshaped the American presidency, or was he a genocidal maniac? The musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson explores all these questions and more—celebrating this American maverick in true, badass fashion.”
The production gets off to a rollicking start with the DIRECTOR’S ROUGH CUT on Wednesday, January 9, a pay-what-you-want first performance, and is followed by previews on Thursday and Friday, January 10 and 11. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jacksonopens Saturday, January 12, 2013 with an 8 p.m. curtain, and runs through February 17, 2013. Audiences should plan to stay after each show for AfterGlow, a party on stage, with and for the people, like Jackson would have wanted!
