Next Stage Theatre Company, Marietta’s newest resident theater company, is thrilled to announce its next production, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, at its permanent home at the Alley Stage just off of the historic Marietta Square. Laughter on the 23rd Floor opens February 8 and runs until February 23.
Laugh out loud mayhem ensues with Neil Simon’s semi-autobiographical take on the memories of his work on Sid Caesar’s “Your Show of Shows”. Set in 1953; take a hilarious behind-the-scenes peek at the ‘Max Prince Show’ as a talented group of writers struggles to work together through each others neuroses, egos, and non-stop jokes to create some of television’s classic comedic moments.
Laughter on the 23rd Floor is hailed as “one of [Simon’s} funniest” plays. Las Vegas actor, director, and producer Gus Langley joins a talented ensemble of Metropolitan Atlanta Theatre Award winners and nominated actors to portray characters based on comic legends Mel Brooks, Danny Simon, Mel Tolkin and Carl Reiner.
Come see how much comedy can be bottled up into the intimate Alley Stage! Do not wait to reserve your seats, Next Stage Theatre Company’s last production, Cabaret, performed to sold-out audiences in its record setting extended run.
Laughter on the 23rd Floor is rated PG-13 due to strong adult language. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students/seniors.
Next Stage Theatre Company is located at The Alley Stage off of the Marietta Square (11 Anderson Street, Marietta, GA 30064). For more information and tickets, call 678-744-6398.
