Box Heroes of Atlanta at Center for Puppetry Arts Saturday February 16

This Saturday, February 16, Atlanta’s own Box Heroes will swoop into the Center for Puppetry Arts to meet fellow superhero Mighty Bug. Dress up in your superhero best, and join the Box Heroes at the Center, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Take photos with these cardboard crusaders and watch The Adventures of Mighty Bug.

The Adventures of Mighty Bug is now playing through March 17.  Watching over the insect citizens of Bugville is the one and only Mighty Bug, a superhero with super strength, smelling, hearing and flying abilities. But Mighty Bug isn’t the only arthropod with an eye on the town. The evil arachnid Scorpiana has assembled a group to attack the town. Filled with plenty of insect trivia and facts, this science-filled comic book style adventure will give audiences the chance to be a fly on the wall as good battles evil and the future of Bugville hangs on the line.

Written and directed by the Center’s Artistic Director, Jon Ludwig, The Adventures of Mighty Bug features a variety of puppetry styles including body puppetry, shadow puppetry and rod puppetry. Performing as the cast of interesting bugs are puppetry veterans Dolph Amick, Allison Murphy, Spencer G. Stephens, Amy Sweeney, and Tim Sweeney.

Join the Box Heroes at the Center for Puppetry Arts this Saturday, February 16, 11 a.m. – 3.pm.
