The Art Stroll includes the following shows and galleries: ART Station Galleries at 5384 Manor Drive presenting:  “Monsters Galore!” by Sarah Kargol. “The artist must bow to the monster of his own imagination.” R. Wright.  Monsters are a universal subject matter that allow viewers to safely place themselves into the situations being depicted in her work.  Sarah is a mixed-media artist and a mother who is busily engaged in raising four young boys. They have become a major source of inspiration; their daily antics, speech, and curiosity all drive me to create.  Mixed media paintings evolve from materials that have had past lives.  Buttons, fabric, and recycled images bring a sense of nostalgia to the work by manipulating these recycled materials, giving them a new and unexpected life.  Also showing is the DeKalb County Schools and Faculty Exhibition Showcasing the work of DeKalb County’s Elementary, Middle and High School students and faculty.  The Stroll also includes Center Town Galleries located at 951A & B Main Street showcasing the galleries and studios of Bill Leavell (graphite), Fawn Lowery (fused glass) and Tracie Hawkins (quilting and painting).  The Stroll continues with the North Town Gallery at 977 Main Street showcasing the gallery and studio of Anita Jordan (fused glass) and Cynthia Frigon (collage). The final stop is the East Town Gallery at 5347 East Mountain Street, featuring the a consignment gallery with work from 7 additional artists.

Music, light food and drink are provided for the Art Stroll.
