…Great Balls Of Fire, Levi Kreis is Flying Solo
Tony Award Winner Levi Kreis may be known for originating the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in the Broadway hit Million Dollar Quartet (currently touring
nationwide), but reviews of Kreis’ current tour prove there is profoundly more to Levi than rawkus chops and flashy bravado.
Kreis has gained international recognition via his own recordings with prominent features on The Vampire Diaries, Sons of Anarchy, The Apprentice, and appearing on The View, David Letterman, and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. With multiple #1 videos for MTVMusic and Logo Channel, Levi built a reputation as a poignant songwriter and storyteller long before his recognition as an actor.
“This tour is really special to me because it’s just me, a piano, and the very unconventional stories behind the songs. People feel the intimacy so clearly that they tell me it’s like an invitation only performance. I never do a set list, and I never plan ahead. It’s like having a conversation with someone for the first time.”
The Chicago Tribune gives Levi’s solo show “5 Stars”, and with the first 5 stops behind him on his FLYING SOLO TOUR, Atlanta is primed and ready. Countless reviews site the vulnerability with which he speaks of his past, growing up gay in the religious south, overcoming drug addiction, and what led him to the Broadway stage. He infuses a charm and southern humor that reminds you Kreis is just a good natured product of East Tennessee. But there is a lot more to the man who brought Great Balls Of Fire to Broadway.
