Something’s coming – something good! Kicking off their fifth season, West Side Story is the timeless tale of star-crossed lovers and a community at odds, fighting to make a connection in a turbulent 1950s New York. With a unique dedication to performance-based training, this will be the second in FTC’s revolutionary conservatory model, as a collaborative production between Fabrefaction’s foremost conservatory actors and Atlanta’s premier professionals, including Jordan Dell Harris as Tony and Jeremy Varner* as Riff! Mark your calendars for this bittersweet tragedy of blind brotherhood, generational gaps, tarnished innocence, and the inherent humanity that connects us all.
This iconic musical boasts a libretto by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and conception and original choreography by Jerome Robbins. West Side Story was inspired by William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
