The premiere engagement of Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s PHANTOM is playing at The Fox Theatre October 22-November 2 as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta 2014/2015 series. Based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L’Opéra by Gaston Leroux, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA tells the moving story of a masked musical genius who lives beneath the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls deeply in love and becomes consumed with a young soprano singer, Christine, and dedicates all his time to tutoring her and creating the operas next biggest star. When the innocent girl accepts a marriage proposal from another man, the opera ghost becomes enraged and kidnaps her to the confines of his catacombs.
