The producers of WICKED announced today that it has broken two all-time North American Touring box office records by grossing $2,864,958 for the eight-performance week-ending March 1, and $3,266,527 for the nine-performance week-ending March 8, during its recent return to Atlanta’s Fox Theatre February 18 – March 8.
These two weeks of WICKED in Atlanta also exceeded the all-time Broadway box office record for both an eight-performance week (set in January 2015), and a nine-performance week (set in December 2013), both previously set by WICKED.
“Atlanta audiences continue to embrace WICKED in a remarkable way,” commented Russ Belin, Vice President of Broadway in Atlanta. “That it continues to break records after more than 11 years since it debuted on Broadway is truly a testament to the connection that people of all ages feel to the show’s powerful message and extraordinary artistry. We are honored to have contributed to the show’s successful engagement, and we are so thankful to all of our patrons who attended.”
